Abstract   Congenital mesoblastic nephroma is a rare infantile tumor which is the most common benign renal tumor in newborn and infants, with a generally excellent prognosis. This tumor is a massive, firm, infiltrative, solitary renal mass, grossly and microscopically resembling a leiomyoma or low-grade leiomyosarcoma with trapped nephrons. We experienced a case of congenital mesoblastic nephroma, which was suspected congenital renal tumor on the antenatal ultrasonogram and confirmed by surgical and pathological evaluations. The tumor was completely resected by surgical removal. No other treatment was done like chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Until now, there is no evidence of recurrence or metastases for 6 months.
